Thanks for your interest in our line of panel opening products!

Our first Z-Tech panel punch was developed in 1984. At the time, I was the owner of a control panel business and we were contracted to produce systems for a brand new line of zinc die cast machines.   Each machine needed to have three 1/8 DIN temperature controllers installed in the operator’s panel. It did not take us long to discover it took a LOT of time to create these openings using the traditional methods for custom openings, drilling and sawing. Round panel knockout dies and hydraulic pullers had been around for years but dies for any type of new or specialty opening just did not exist.

Therefore, we developed our first die set, the DIN-8, which we still offer today as a Super Dandy series die set. The rest is history.  As new opening standards emerged, we added die sets to accommodate them. Some of our die set models even have “pilot” (drill guide) holes for the device mounting bolts.

We currently also design and manufacture custom die sets for custom applications. In one case, a manufacturer needed to re-work a previous opening. A custom die set was developed that operated by locating on the original opening.  All of our products are produced from quality materials, completely machined on computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines, heat treated, and finished to protect against corrosion. Every Z-Tech die set will provide years of reliable service.

Please also remember product and application support is always just a phone call away at our toll free number and the latest product information is always available on the web at WWW.PANELPUNCHES.COM.

Sincerely,
